Okay, long time, no post, but hey, I'm a slacker.

I just thought I'd mention a few things regarding Michael.

I've shifted the character more towards an original character. He still has his family and background, but I'm slowly moving him away from the traditional 'Michael Knight' character from 'Knight Rider'. Sure he still looks the same, mostly, but there will be differences. I want to build up the character into something far more original and far, far away from fandom.

Michael now wears his hair tied back in a pony tail.

He no longer wears his black jacket, but tends to wear black jeans and a T-shirt.

He is aware of a female character that I'm developing who lives in and maintains a great forest (and no, this is not a mary-sue-me. The idea may have started that way when I first mucked around with it, but I'm seeing the possibilities for that particular universe and may play with it from time to time just to develop the characters and her character is not me). He came across her in his travels.

I want him to be a great deal more positive than he has been in the past. No more moping MK. This character has a purpose beyond depression and its resolution :D

Basically, things have changed.

He is also no longer a member of theatrical_muse. This is sad, but also necessary. He now belongs solely to libraryofwinds. Hopefully none of you will mind that and will still be happy to play from time to time.

I have also made a couple of changes to his user info and as soon as I get time (something I don't have much of at the moment) I will alter his journal as well.

I've been back for over a week now, but with doing other stuff and a crazy writing frenzy, I haven't been RPing much if at all. But now MK has posted, feeling weird and all, so if anyone wants to poke him, feel free :D All pups should be aware though that he is currently unrecognisable as Michael K. This may make for some interesting encounters :D

If there are any threads he's left hanging that I might have forgotten about, please poke me here (preferably with non-sharp objects :D)

On holiday

Tomorrow night - Tuesday 15th November at 7.45pm I will be jumping on a plane and flying to Sydney to visit my good friend and beta, Twitch :D

This is all highly exciting stuff, and a little scary cos I'm doing it on my own again, and I don't do solo very well. Or planes for that matter. But it will be a great deal of fun.

One down side of this is the fact that the only internet connection I will have will be the one I can highjack from her computer. Net access will be intermittent and consequently RP along with it. So I'll be missing a lot of you guys if I don't catch you :(

The upside of this is I might actually get some writing done...what a scary concept. Twitch is my Stargate writing partner, so we may see the appearance of more Jack O'Neill. ::pokes MK::

Speaking of MK....did any of you know that he is now an African American? ::falls over laughing:: All I'm getting off him at the moment is a stunned perturbness. He's feeling really weird. Oh, WillowMun, you're the greatest :D

In preparation for moving Michael out of the Realm and taking on the bad guys, I writing out some material that others who might like to play might need. (This is why Michael hasn't replied to Willow's post as yet. Organising some stuff first.)

This is the first of a few posts I intend on putting up....this is the longest. This is a summary of Michael's timeline up to now with events relating to the plot mentioned. It is just a record of what is in my brain. I thought it might help for reference. Next I plan to provide some information regarding the bad guys (what little I have).

Sorry about the length and I haven't reread it yet as I'm posting in a hurry before work.

Born Michael Arthur Long, MK grew up on the south western coast of the United States. His father, an officer in the LAPD, was killed in the line of duty when Michael was five years old. Unable to support her young son as the musician she was trained to be, his mother changed careers to bring more money into the household. Michael and his mother grew close as he grew up, and she was a very important influence in his life. Unfortunately, at the age of fifteen he lost her to a hit and run incident.

Barely graduating high school, Michael threw himself into the police academy in an obsessive move to prevent the same from happening to others. However, his chances at doing just that were foiled a couple of months after graduating into the force. Called up for service in Vietnam, he ended up spending some time in a Viet Cong prison. He eventually escaped, however received a life threatening injury that required the insertion of a metal plate just behind his forehead.

Upon return to the States, he entered a difficult period in his life from which he was only saved by the efforts of a friend by the name of Stevie Mason. Once he was back on his feet, he gained a position on the Las Vegas Police Department, where through hard work, and a little luck, he rose through the ranks to Lieutenant. Shortly thereafter he asked Stevie to marry him and she accepted.

August 1982
Michael's partner, Leonard Muntz, gunned down in casino carpark
Michael Long shot in the face by Tanya Walker (his life was saved by a metal plate in his forehead received due to an injury taken in Vietnam) and rescued by Wilton Knight.
Michael Knight born through reconstructive surgery - face and fingerprints altered
Introduced to the Knight Industries Two Thousand - Kitt
The two new partners hunt down Tanya Walker and her cronies, Fred Wilson and William Gray.
Michael meets Maggie Simmons and her son, Buddy.
Tanya Walker killed by a ricochet off Kitt's window as she tries to kill Michael.
Michael and Kitt start their partnership and mission.

October 1983
A young computer genius by the name of Randy Merritt hacks into Kitt's systems and steals the Trans Am, dumping Kitt's processor in the trash. He does this under the urging of a black widow, Adrienne Margeaux. Young Randy is head over heels for the much older Adrienne, but in the end betrays her to Michael Knight and Kitt is reunited with his body.

January 1984
Devon and April encounter Adrienne Margeaux in the company of Garthe Knight, Wilton's disowned son and Michael's doppelganger. It appears that she never went to jail after the events in October of the previous year.
Adrienne is killed by Michael and Kitt as the truck she is travelling in, Goliath, plummets off a cliff into the ocean.

March 1986
Michael marries Stephanie Mason.
Stephanie dies moments later, sacrificing herself to protect Michael from a gunman.
Michael seeks revenge and gets it…to a point.

1986 - 1988
Michael and Kitt continue the mission of FLAG (Foundation for Law and Government)

The years of 1989-2002 do not exist for Michael or Devon - the time line jumps straight from 1988 to September 2003 (because Nutty was lazy and wanted Michael to be this side of fifty)

September 2003
Michael receives an invitation from Maggie Simmons to visit her in Silicon Valley. Kitt is under extensive repair from the previous mission, so he goes alone.
After a pleasant dinner, they retire to his hotel room, shortly thereafter Michael's memory ends.

During this time, surgery was performed and a chip inserted behind the metal plate in his forehead. Extensive testing/torture ensued, conducted by Bosco Ferelli and, out of Michael's sight, Rand Merritt.
At the end of a week, Michael's memory of this period was wiped and he was sent back to his hotel room.

He wakes up, sick and in pain. A voice speaks to him in his head, attempts to control him and can affect his visual, auditory and endocrine systems.
It appears the perpetrator behind it is after Kitt.
He manages to contact Devon and keep Kitt away. Devon moves him to a secluded wing of the Knight mansion for treatment. Bonnie is not told at Michael's request. Kitt is told. Doctor MacKenzie is called in. Michael spends a good deal of his time in a white padded room fighting for his sanity against the Voice in his head.

December 2003
First firewall is installed in the back of Michael's neck in an attempt to stop the transmissions that are slowly sending him insane. Unbeknownst to Devon the science team assigned to the device had been infiltrated and the firewall, rather than providing protection, provides a booster circuit to complete what the chip was originally designed to do. The perpetrators are able to take complete control of Michael's actions and through him, steal Kitt. Psuedo-Michael, convincing Devon that he is himself again gains access to Kitt and drives him to the bad guys.
Michael and Kitt are held over Christmas for five days during which William Gray and Fred Wilson conduct extensive 'tests' on the two partners.
The final test asked Kitt to choose between killing Michael or killing Maggie Simmons. If he didn't make a choice, both would die. Forced to choose by his programming, Kitt killed Maggie, but was unable to function having broken one of his primary functions and shutdown.
Due to a freak accident, Michael found himself free of the firewall's influence (it was damaged in a fall) and able to fight for control of himself. Taking the opportunity, he jumped into the Trans Am and busted out of the compound. Half delirious, he drove until the car ran out of fuel. Kitt was not responsive and for all intents and purposes, dead. Devon eventually located the pair and returned them to the Foundation.

January 2004
Michael broke out of confinement in a desperate need to see Kitt. He found him, still incapacitated, dead. Seriously ill and irrational, it was the last straw, and Michael, sitting in Kitt's driver's seat made the first attempt on his own life. Devon found him and he was saved.
After that, despite all efforts, Michael deteriorated further and not long after made another attempt on his life. Devon, once again, caught him before permanent damage could be done, but more restrictive methods were needed to keep him from self-destruction.

February 2004
After a great deal of trouble, Kitt was resurrected, minus three months of memory and with a logical patch programmed into his systems to hopefully prevent a recurrence of his instability should the events of those three months be revealled to him at some point.
The moment Michael was told, he began to fight again, but at his urging Kitt was sent across the country and out of his reach for his own protection.

July 2004
After months of research, a real firewall is developed and installed into Michael's neck to replace the dud. The transmissions are cut off and Michael is finally able to start rebuilding himself from scratch.

November 2004
Against medical advice, Michael sets out to track down the perpetrators. He locates Gray and Wilson. Wilson dies, shot in the head by Michael in a flare of anger. Gray appears to die in an explosion that also destroys the transmitter responsible for the signals that had tormented Michael for the past year. (He does not, however realise he hasn't caught Bosco or Merritt. Merritt is the Voice, but Michael thought it was Wilson.)

January 2005
As soon as he can and still against medical advice, Michael makes his way to New York to finally meet up with Kitt again. However, many things have changed in the past year. Kitt now has a cyborg body and holds a grudge against Michael for his absence.
Bonnie is shot during an incident at a restaurant that may or may not be related to the people after Michael….Michael assumes it is and freaks.
Later at the hospital, Kitt and Michael argue. Michael reveals the existence of the chip to Kitt, and his partner promptly attempts to hack into it, inadvertently breaking the firewall and leaving Michael open for attack.
A one sided link between the two partners forms of its own accord. Michael can 'hear' Kitt's presence and emotions at all times. Kitt can contact Michael telepathically, but is not aware of Michael in the same way.
Michael meets Miranda Cameron, Samael and the concept of the Arcana. He visits the Realm for the first time.

February 2005
Merritt rebuilds the transmitter and, locating Michael, tests it on him.
Finding himself under attack again, and Kitt vulnerable also through the link they share, Michael manages to fight off the Voice long enough for Kitt to transfer to the car and take them to the Realm where the transmissions cannot reach.
The arguments with his partner begin as Kitt starts having difficulties with his relationships….emotional flak hitting Michael via the link.
Michael meets Mike, Cerridwen and various other members of the family.

March 2005
Arguments with Kitt continue and Michael's mental health begins to spiral down. He has the first of his episodes.

April 2005
Mental health deteriorating badly, Michael struggles to hold it together.
Cerridwen invites him to her home
Michael completely loses it after a point.
Mike takes Michael to some associates of his and has the chip removed from Michael's head. This was done without discussion with Kitt and the AI is upset with Michael for doing it.
Shortly thereafter, Michael collapses in Devon's office due to bleeding on the brain.
Emergency surgery and Devon moves Michael back to Los Angeles for recuperation.
Michael suffers from partial amnesia and contact with Kitt is lost.
A relationship with Cerridwen develops.

May 2005
Michael regains most of his memory and decides to leave the Foundation.
The Arcana declare him to be a member of their family and receives a Key to the Realm.
Ian gives Michael a German shepherd puppy and he names her Rayne.
After a discussion with Mike regarding changing his name, Mike contacts one of his many contacts and an electronic 'shield of lies' is introduced into the networks. Anyone looking for Michael Long Knight electronically will find him to be dead and replaced by other Michael Knights, other men surgically altered to resemble him.

June 2005
Michael purchases a beach house just outside Morro Bay in California and moves in.

July 2005
The LA Times prints an article linking Michael Knight to Michael Long and accuses him of murder several times over.
Mike and Michael break into the LA Times offices and encounter a man from Michael's dreams, Bosco Ferelli, who has just executed the LA Times editor, Joseph Stoge. Mike nabs him, siphons the bad guys' location out of his brain, and, along with a folder full of information on Michael Long/Knight, the two of them make a hasty exit to the Realm.
Devon, in the meantime, is under investigation by the FBI in their hunt for Michael.
Devon inadvertently picks up a follower he doesn't know about.
Lu and Johnny get some information out of Bosco the hard way.
Freaked by events, Michael suffers another episode while in the Realm.

August 2005
Michael stays in the Realm for his own safety.

September 2005
An incident involving the family has Lady Arcane asking Michael to take a six week vacation.
Michael starts training and regaining his fitness in preparation to take on the people who ruined his life.

November 2005
With the assistance of Willow, Michael gets ready to leave the Realm.

With the change in daylight saving, from my point of view the UK wakes up at 5.30pm, but the east coast of the US doesn't get up until 11.30pm! What a difference a lousy two hours makes ::pouts::

Of course this also means that I wake up around 4pm US east coast and 9.00pm UK time. And it also means I might be able to say hi to the East coasters after I get home from work at around 10pm on most weekdays (1.30pm my time) UK guys, the middle of my day is the middle of your night, so unless you're insomniac or as crazy as I seem to be lately, you'll be asleep.

All I know is that I'm liable for some more late nights. I'm also finding it scary that I can now judge at least roughly off the top of my head what time it is around the planet.

I had a visit from Samael last night.

Well, a mutated form of Samael...::shudder::

And I find this rather ironic after our little discussion about your dreams being exotic, my dear SamaelMun :D

Okay, first up Samael was upset.

It started in a modified version of a friend of mine's backyard. There was Sam, MK, Karl and I think Cerridwen....probably because I was playing this thread before bed last night.

They were all sitting around one of those plastic preformed tables talking and there were a lot of guests. There were also three swimming pools in the backyard. The house was owned by Samael and the guests were his but not necessarily at his request. They were annoying him. He was upset and all these inconsiderate people were making noise and playing in his pools.

Anyway, this went on for a while, MK was discussing stuff with Sam, asking him to rest, trying to find out what was wrong, that sort of thing, but at one point he got up and went over to one of the pools where there was a problem. Something was stuck in a filter and for some reason all three filters were connected. The thing stuck was also something MK knew was important to Sam. MK got a little pissed off at the two responsible and shut down the filtration system. Unfortunately, the two people involved got a little pissed at MK and them being Sam's friends MK found himself out of his depth pretty quick. At some point Sam intervened and all the guests vanished except for those responsible. A discussion ensued and a search for the objects which in the end couldn't be found.

Sam ended up even more pissed.

I'm not sure what happened to the two responsible. I'm not sure I want to know.

At this point there was a decision made. Lady Riel said she'd help Lady Arcane, and she sent Lady Nut to help Sam. MK disappeared from the picture, and Gumnut entered the arena.

Anyway, the scene switched to a very old house (a mutated version of my primary school which was in an old building) with dark woodwork, books and dim lighting. Sam was still upset. And I'm talking a clear as day Christian Bale Sam here - though there was a distinct batlike feeling in the air (and note I haven't seen the movie 'Batman Begins'). This is where things start to get creepy.

I was talking to Sam, but he had to leave for a moment and while he was gone I received a phone call from work and was told I had to come in. So essentially I had to leave. At this point I looked through a window to part of the front garden. My dog Terry was sitting out there and I idly wondered if my father was around. This sounds okay, except for the fact that Terry has been dead for eight years.

Sam came back into the room, which at this point was a cross between an old library, my old school art room and a hallway. He wasn't happy that I had to go, but he said goodbye and left himself. Though there was an image of him that was very vampire like - fangs and a single drop of blood dribbling down the side of his mouth.

So I tried to leave. But found I couldn't.

Cos next minute there was a chain tying me to the floor - a band around my waist, cheap gold-silver chain linked to a anchor in the floor. I remember tugging at it and yelling and not being able to get free. Yelling to Sam that I was sorry I had to go, but I had no choice. As I was getting frantic someone appeared to help me...could have been MK or one of the Riders, I'm not sure, but the chain strained and broke shattering into millions of little pieces that scattered all over the red carpet. I was distraught.

Sam appeared again and whoever had been helping me disappeared. We talked and at some point I found myself stroking his hair and kissed him on the forehead. At that point I looked up and saw my little brother through that same window. Terry was gone, but my brother was there. I felt very uneasy, and my brother waved to me and came towards the house. Sam picked up on this and went to open the door, but he looked back at me and again the vampirish version of him was there and the next moment, he was gone. And so was my brother.

Now to me my little brother is something very precious and I freaked royally. Evil!Sam had my brother! There were noncorporeal threats made and I freaked even more. There was a phone nearby, one from the 1960s, and I rang for help.

I received an answering machine message 'I'm sorry but your grandparents aren't here. Your grandmother is being moved to a nursing home...'

My grandmother broke her leg three years ago and was moved to a nursing home. She died there seven weeks later. My grandfather died this past April. The house was sold on the weekend.

I, of course, freaked and it was at this point I woke up.

And found myself confronted with the side of my hubby's sleeping face merged with the way the shadows of the morning sun were falling on the pillow making an evil looking face that was very much like vampire!Sam!

I freaked a little more.

Conclusion?

I'm insane.

I tried to remember it all, this rendition is missing a lot of the details, but I lose them quickly after waking despite the fact that I usually dream as clearly as watching a TV set.

So ArcanaMun, what have you done to me? I'd hate to psychoanalyse this, I might be committed for the result. :D

I have had for a long time now two IM contact names for each program. One for each computer (what a stupid idea that was)

I am now merging them into one....the original one I had...since ironically enough, I can only use one computer at a time.

The last three weeks have seen MK crash and burn again, getting himself into trouble with several people. I had a not too fantastic week last week myself and had to stop writing MK for awhile because I was bashing up his character. What is it with these TM questions lately? MK has been raking himself over the coals to write the last one which incidently he has almost finished yet can't get up the nerve to post it openly so he is going to have to lock it. And now...more coals????

This week has seen some changes to Michael. He in no longer Michael Knight. This was something that has been happening for a while and this week was the straw that broke the camel's back. Call him Michael K. Check out his LJ for a few minor changes.

Okay proof I'm losing it.

Currently writing in my lounge room. Hubby is sitting next to me watching LOTR.

I looked up a moment ago and came face to face with Elrond - the scene in ROTK where Arwyn declares she is not leaving Aragorn.

The only problem with it was that instead of Elrond, all I could see was SAMAEL. Jag, this is all your fault! Arwen, by default filled the position of Miri.

I'm losing it!
